20 year old drowns in St. Croix River Saturday
A young man died in a drowning accident in the St. Croix River on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred just after 7 a.m. near Lions Park in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Police in the city received a report from a witness who heard calls for help coming from the river.
Approximately three hours later emergency responders found the body of a 20-year-old man from St. Croix Falls. He was 20-30 feet from shore in about eight feet of water.
The man's death is believed to be an accidental drowning.
