A young man died Monday after being pulled from an east-central Minnesota lake after a drowning accident.
The Isanti County Sheriff's Office reports that it was informed of a possible drowning on Lory Lake in Maple Ridge Township around 1:25 p.m. The 911 caller said that a 21-year-old man went into the water on a tube, later seen floating in the water near the tube.
Bystanders were able to get to the man's body, bring him to shore and begin CPR.
Deputies arrived and continued life-saving efforts before getting the man to medical responders. He was transported by Life Link helicopter to Hennepin County Medical Center where he died.
The victim has been identified as Richard Arent, of Foreston.
The drowning remains under investigation.
