A 21-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in western Wisconsin late Frida night.

According to the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office, a wrong-way driver crashed into the vehicle driven by 21-year-old Stefanie Biedler, of Somerset, Wisconsin. The sheriff's release notes that Biedler was not wearing her seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wrong-way driver was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for treatment and her current condition is unknown.

Alcohol may have factored in the crash, the report says, adding that dispatch received reports of a car going in the wrong direction around 11:11 p.m. and six minutes later the head-on crash was reported.
