3 arrested after 19-year-old woman kidnapped in Inver Grove Heights

It happened southeast of where I-494 and Hwy. 52 intersect.

A 19-year-old woman is safe after being kidnapped and held against her will late Wednesday night in Inver Grove Heights. 

According to a release from Inver Grove Heights Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Blackberry Trail just after 10:40 p.m. on a report of "someone being held against their will." 

Details from there are limited, but the department said responding officers determined the location where the woman was being held and then found a way to communicate with her. 

"A short time later multiple subjects began to come out of the location and three subjects were taken into custody," the department explained in a release, noting that the 19-year-old woman "was able to exit the location" and talk to officers. 

The three people arrested include a 36-year-old Minneapolis resident who is facing a drug charge; a 24-year-lld Inver Grove Heights resident who is facing charges for threats of violence, kidnapping and interfering with a 911 call; and a 36-year-old Inver Grove Heights resident who is facing charges for kidnapping and aiding and abetting an offender. 

Officers from Apple Valley, Lakeville, South St. Paul, West St. Paul and the Dakota County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
