Bloomington Police Department announced Thursday evening that their homicide investigation led them to an outdoor location in Woodbury where a body was located.

Police, however, are "not in a position at this time" to positively identify the body, so it remains unclear if the body of 29-year-old William Charles Albrecht, of Minneapolis, who was last seen leaving a residence in Bloomington in the early morning hours of Nov. 15.

Albrecht was reported missing to Minneapolis Police, but evidence found at the residence he was last seen prompted Bloomington PD to launch a homicide investigation.

Woodbury Police Department and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office are now assisting with the investigation.

Evidence has led police to turn a case of a missing person into a homicide investigation.

William Charles Albrecht, 29, of Minneapolis, was last seen at a residence on the 1500 block of East 87th Street in Bloomington during the early morning hours of Nov. 15.

Bloomington Police issued a release Thursday night saying they're investigating the missing person report as a homicide after recovering evidence at the scene while conducting a search warrant on Nov. 19.

The evidence led to the probable cause arrest of three people – two men, ages 26 and 32, and a 31-year-old woman, all from Bloomington – who were at the home when Albrecht arrived Nov. 15.

All three suspects are being held in the Bloomington Jail for probable cause homicide.

"This is an active investigation into the possible homicide and current location of William Albrecht," Bloomington PD said.
