Three people – two men and a woman – were injured in a shooting in Minneapolis on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, a shooting was reported in the area of South 8th Street and 11th Avenue South around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
One of the injured people went to the hospital on foot, and Minneapolis Parl Police, who were the first on the scene, went to the hospital and secured the injured person. They had non-life-threatening injuries.
While the park police were at the hospital, two other victims, both suffering non-life-threatening injuries, arrived at the hospital.
The police's preliminary investigation indicates that at least one of the people injured as a shooter.
"It should be noted that there is no indication that this is politically motivated nor is the area in which the shooting occurred a polling place," Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder said in an email to reporters.
No other information about the incident has been released.
