3 injured when car goes airbone, hitting building in Minneapolis

No one inside the building was hurt.

Three people, including a child, were injured when the driver of a car apparently lost control and went airborne into a building in Minneapolis.

Police believe the vehicle was traveling northbound at a "very high rate of speed," when it appears the driver lost control and hit a berm, sending it airborne into a building at 3701 Fremont Ave. N at 10:23 a.m., Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder said.

There were three people in the car at the time of the crash who were all brought to North Memorial Medical Center. The Minneapolis Fire Department had to extricate one person from the vehicle.

A woman, who is believed to have been the driver, and a boy are in serious but stable condition, while a male (age isn't known) is in critical condition, Elder said.

Structural inspectors are at the scene of the crash working to determine if the building is safe. No one inside the building was injured.
