3 injured when drug deal turns into armed robbery in Brooklyn Park

The Brooklyn Park Police Department is investigating after a drug deal turned into an armed robbery early Sunday morning.

According to BPPD, officers responded to a report of a robbery at Oak Grove Park at around 1:14 a.m. Three victims told officers they were going to buy narcotics in the area.

When the three victims arrived, the suspect who was supposed to sell the narcotics was reportedly joined by four other suspects carrying a handgun and baseball bats.

The suspects assaulted the victims and took their belongings. The victims sustained minor injuries.

The area was searched, though no suspects were located. The incident is currently under investigation.
