Three people are dead – including the suspected gunman – and at least one person is injured after a shooting at a Michigan courthouse.

The Detroit Free Press says the shooting at around 2:30 p.m. Monday happened outside the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, which is now closed for the rest of the day. The Washington Post reports authorities say there was a "disturbance" on the third floor before the shooting.

Two bailiffs were killed, as was the gunman. A deputy was wounded, but is in stable condition at the hospital, WSBT 25 reports. The scene is now cleared.

It's not entirely clear what happened, but ABC 57 is reporting a man being taken to jail grabbed a service weapon off an officer and fired shots. Authorities have not publicly confirmed that account.
