Four people have been arrested after a woman was found dead in a room at LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Bloomington on Monday, July 12.

News of the woman's death was reported Thursday by Bloomington Police Department, which reports that officers were alerted to the unresponsive woman at 7815 Nicollet Ave. around 11:45 a.m. Monday.

There were "visible signs of trauma" and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the department reports. Police say an autopsy determined that the 39-year-old victim, identified as Jennifer Ann Swaggert, of Minneapolis, had suffered a gunshot wound to her upper body.

Two days after her death, detectives with Bloomington PD arrested a 39-year-old woman and three 17-year-old's from Minneapolis and St. Paul, respectively, with all four being held for probable cause second-degree murder.

The adult suspect is in custody at the Hennepin County Jail, while the two male juveniles, one from Minneapolis and one from St. Paul, and the 17-year-old Minneapolis female, are being held at a juvenile detention center.
