3 teens involved in fatal crash in southern Minnesota
A 15-year-old boy died and two 16 year olds were injured in a single-vehicle crash in southern Minnesota on Thursday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2002 Mazda Protege was northbound on Hwy. 26 when it lost control, went into the ditch and hit a tree.
The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. in Crooked Creek Township, Houston County.
The state patrol has identified the 15-year-old victim as Caleb Ryan Colsch, of New Albin, Iowa. The report says the teen was not wearing a seat belt.
The 16-year-old boy driving the car and a 16-year-old male passenger were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The severity of the driver's injuries weren't listed and the passenger's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
