Graco is recalling 4.7 million strollers sold in the United States after reports of children's fingers getting pinched, and sometimes amputated, in the stroller's hinges.

The Atlanta, Georgia-based company issued the recall after receiving 11 reports of finger injuries, including six finger amputations, four partial-fingertip lacerations and one finger laceration due to the stroller's folding hinges.

The recall includes eleven models – Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling and TravelMate Model Strollers and Travel Systems models – sold between August 2000 and Nov. 19 of this year, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The strollers were sold at Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, and on Amazon.com, among other online retailers.

Graco says more than 85 percent of the strollers were sold more than seven years ago, but the company has included strollers with the same hinge design sold during the last 14 years in the recall.

Graco is offering free hinge covers for affected strollers. To verify if your stroller was recalled, check the model number here or call 800-345-4109.
