4 injured by man with 'edged weapon' in St. Anthony home

He confronted police outside the house, and was eventually subdued.

Four people were injured at a home in St. Anthony by a man with an "edged weapon" who had to be Tasered and pepper sprayed by police.

Officers were called to reports of a "frantic" and "vulnerable" man knocking on doors at the 2600 block of 29th Ave. NE in the Twin Cities suburb on Wednesday morning.

When police found him, he said he'd been injured by another man with a weapon, who was inside a nearby home.

As police approached the house, the suspect came out with blood on his hands, with officers hearing people insider the property shouting for help.

The suspect was swearing at officers and refused to surrender, instead telling police they would have to "shoot him" or "kill him."

He got into a nearby vehicle, at which point St. Anthony PD officers deployed tasers that worked successfully, before using pepper spray so they could handcuff him after he refused to let go of the steering wheel.

Police went inside and found three more injured people, who were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with the injured man they initially found.

There are no details as to their condition.
