4 injured in deck collapse at home in Champlin
An "older" deck collapsed at a house in Champlin, Minn., Sunday night and three adults and an infant were hurt, KARE 11 reported. None of the injuries were life-threatening, but three people were taken to a hospital, KARE reported.
Police said about 10 people were on the deck, KARE reported, although other stations reported it was fewer. The deck fell 6 to 8 feet at about 8:45 p.m. at the home in the 12900 block of Monticello Lane, KARE 11 reported.
FOX 9 has a slideshow of images from the scene.
Witnesses said the injured had bumps, bruises and cuts, KSTP reports. People had been gathered at the home for a barbecue, the station reported.
The cause of the collapse was not immediately clear, but police said the age of the deck was a possible factor, WCCO reported.
