A young boy pulled from a downtown Minneapolis hotel pool last week has since died.
Alani King'Yeh Tyler was found unresponsive in the pool at the Best Western Normandy Inn around 2:30 p.m. on May 20. Tyler, 4 years old, was unresponsive and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition.
Five days later, he died.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner on Friday morning said Tyler died the afternoon of May 25 at Hennepin Healthcare. The cause of death was listed as freshwater drowning.
A Go Fund Me was organized to help raise money for King's funeral expenses. About $1,500 has been donated as of Friday morning.
