The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a report of $4,500 worth of wedding dresses stolen from a storage unit in Cascade Township.

Officials met with the complainant on Saturday, who said he and his wife had opened the storage unit at U-Haul Self-Storage to find multiple handmade, “Mediterranean style” wedding dresses were missing.

The complainant had opened the unit in September and found that some items in the storage unit had been opened, but at the time didn't find anything missing.

Since then they have discovered the theft of the wedding dresses, the total value of which is $4,500.

The incident is under investigation, and there is no known suspect.
