St. Paul now holds a world record based on a child’s classic toy. Minnesota Public Radio reports the city set a Guinness world record for the largest Lite Brite picture. Ever. More than 600 volunteers helped sort and install 600,000 of the little pegs.

The Lite Brite mural, designed by St. Paul artist Ta-coumba Aiken, is 12 feet tall by 24 feet long. It is on display at the newly refurbished Union Depot as part of the kick-off of the Minnesota Idea Open Forever St. Paul Challenge.

It's a contest to find the best idea to improve St. Paul. A $1 million prize will go toward the winning idea.
