Shooter kills 4 at separate homes in Wisconsin, takes own life
Five people have been found dead and two injured after shootings at two homes in Wisconsin that police believe are connected.
The first happened around 10:30 p.m. at a home in Lake Hallie, northeast of Eau Claire in Chippewa County, where police found a man and a woman dead and two more with gunshot wounds.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office then went to a property in nearby Lafayette that is home to relatives of one of those found dead, and when they got there found three more dead bodies.
The deceased were a man, a woman and a boy.
Police say that they are treating the shootings as a homicide and say that the shooter is responsible for the killings at both homes, and is also among the deceased.
They haven't identified which person was responsible.
Police say there is no danger to the wider public.
