Details are limited but five people were injured when a vehicle crashed into a Holiday gas station in Edina just before 1 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, the crash happened at the Holiday store located at 5200 Interlachen Blvd. The driver of the Toyota RAV4, identified as a 46-year-old woman from Edina, was injured along with four people either just outside the store or inside near the cash registers.

At least one of the five suffered serious injuries, police say.

Early information led police to say the woman was traveling westbound on Interlachen Blvd. when she suddenly went off the road and slammed into the front of the store.

An investigation into what caused her to leave the roadway is ongoing.
