Six people were shot, some of them critically wounded, after a fight inside a north Minneapolis bar spilled outside early Sunday morning.

According to Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation just before 2 a.m. on the 200 block of West Broadway Ave. On arrival, police were informed that victims had been taken by private transport to area hospitals.

Three victims were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, two were transported to North Memorial Hospital and one victim was found a few blocks from the scene before being taken to HCMC.

"Due to the severity of some of the victims, detectives from the Homicide unit Responded out to the scene as did the personnel from the Crime Lab," a release from police said.

Investigators determined that a fight broke out inside the yet-to-be identified bar, with the fight then moving outside when shots were fired.
