The drug-related shooting happened just prior to 11 p.m. on the 23900 block of Highway 22, just south of Litchfield in Meeker County. The sheriff's office said the gunshot victim was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital, then was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Then on Tuesday, the sheriff's office arrested an 18-year-old woman from rural Litchfield and a 45-year-old woman from rural Grove City.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed on the 24200 block of 548th Avenue just south of Grove City, where the gun used in the shooting was found along with methamphetamine, marijuana, ecstasy and other drug paraphernalia.
That search led to the arrests of a 20-year-old from rural Grove City, a 45-year-old man from rural Litchfield, and a 48-year-old Minneapolis man.
