74-year-old motorcycle rider killed in Detroit Lakes crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in the Detroit Lakes area this weekend.
It happened Saturday afternoon at Highway 34 and Highland Drive, when a Harley-Davidson Cruiser collided with a 2021 Dodge Ram.
According to a release from the Minnesota State Patrol, both vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lanes at the time.
The patrol offered no further details as to how the collision happened.
The motorcycle rider has not been identified by name yet, but the release says it was a 74-year-old male from Detroit Lakes.
The Dodge Ram was carrying three people, none of whom were injured.
Saturday's accident follows two recent motorcycle fatalities in Minnesota; one on Thursday in Wadena County, in which a Michigan man was killed, and another two days before in Oakdale, where the rider died as the result of a multi-vehicle crash on I-94.
