8 charged in murder plot over $200, pot
It sounds like something out of a Coen brothers movie: Eight people are suspected of plotting to kill a Pelican Rapids, Minn., man over $200 and 2 ounces of marijuana and then burn his house down, WDAY reports. They were armed with bear spray, a crow bar, knife, machete, metal baseball bat and a gun. What could go wrong? The intended target pulled a gun and fired at the fleeing suspects – who then called police.

Among their weapons of choice: bear spray, a crow bar, knife, machete, metal baseball bat, gun and a can of gasoline.
What could go wrong? The intended target pulled a gun and fired at the fleeing suspects – who then called police, and were ultimately arrested. Eight, plus the shooter, have been charged or are awaiting charges.
