The Twin Cities entertainment picture continues to shift with the announcement of another new Minneapolis music venue.
Reported by the Business Journal and confirmed by sources close to the project, United Properties (operated by GoMN's owners, the Pohlad family) will develop a music venue with a small hotel attached.
The location is a .75-acre plot between Caribou Coffee and the Holiday gas station next to Target Field, in the North Loop area. (The Minnesota Twins are also owned by the Pohlads.)
Unlike the United Properties venture still awaiting approval in the Upper Harbor Terminal – an outdoor amphitheater complex – First Avenue has confirmed they are not involved. According to the Biz Journal, the plan is to break ground on the North Loop venue later this year.
