The newspaper notes Eagan-based Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is also testing the rise of consumerism in health care by teaming up with Walgreens stores around the state. Earlier this month, Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth Group opened 30 pop-up stores and more than 1,400 kiosks in shopping malls across the country.
Minnetonka-based Tonka Beer Company launched its first beer this spring and plans to donate 100 percent of the profits to help prevent the spread of invasive species in Minnesota waterways. KSTP reports "Big Island Shandy" is sold at more than 100 stores throughout the state. The goal is to donate at least $10,000 this year and twice that amount next year. A second beer is set to hit store shelves in August.
