After suffering a slew of troubles after launching its new website last month, the head of Target.com has left the company. The Minneapolis-based retailer announced their website president Steve Eastman left the company to 'pursue other opportunities.'

After suffering a slew of troubles after launching its new website last month, the head of Target.com has left the company. The Minneapolis-based retailer announced their website president Steve Eastman left the company to 'pursue other opportunities.'

Police claim the man, who had allegedly been experiencing a mental health crisis, was armed with a knife.

Target suffered its third website outage since redesigning the site and taking it in-house. The site was reportedly down for nearly three hours. Target.com's president stepped down weeks ago to "pursue other opportunities," according to the company.

A few days after Target's limited edition collection hit their website, the Pioneer Press reports some Target.com shoppers are getting notices that their orders have now been cancelled. The Minneapolis retailer has yet to make a statement about the issue.

The retailer's top executive says the platform should be stable as the biggest shopping day of the year approaches. Target frustrated some shoppers after suffering a series of high-profile failures after bringing the website in-house.

Gilbert Acevedo will step down after serving four-years in the position. The Pioneer Press reports he's leaving to pursue a job in the private sector.

State Senate spokesman Michael Brodkorb, a key Republican figure in Minnesota, is leaving his post. He's also stepping down from his work with the Mike Parry First District Congressional campaign. His resignation comes after his boss, Amy Koch, suddenly left her job as Senate Majority Leader after allegations she had an inappropriate relationship with a Senate staffer.

Randy Wallake is retiring from his executive post on June 30 after 25 years with the St. Paul-based financial group. Wallake joined Securian as vice president of pension sales and was named vice chairman in 2005 and president in 2007.

Gov. Mark Dayton says Mark Phillips, commissioner of the state Department of Employment and Economic Development, is resigning effective Friday to "pursue opportunities in the private sector," Politics in Minnesota reports. Dayton has promoted Katie Clark, the head of Minnesota’s Trade Office, to lead the state's economic and workforce development agency.

Marketing chief Michael Francis is leaving Target and will become president of J.C. Penney. Francis has been overseeing Target's plans to expand in Canada, where the company hopes to start opening stores in 2013.
