Aggressive Minn. drivers targeted in new campaign

Law enforcement officers are targeting "that guy" – drivers prone to road rage – in a new public awareness campaign designed to cut down on aggressive driving. The initiative also offers tips on how to handle aggressive drivers.

State agencies, including public safety, transportation, health and the State Patrol have kicked off a campaign aimed at aggressive drivers, KARE 11 reports.

The initiative includes a TV spot that takes a bit of a comical look at how ridiculous aggressive behavior can be – but officials say there is no doubt that road rage sometimes leads to serious consequences. Last year, there were 61 deaths and 6,791 injuries on Minnesota roads directly related to aggressive driving, KARE reports.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation offers a few tips on how to deal with aggressive drivers.
