Missing girl found safe after becoming stuck in marsh near Scandia

The 12-year-old girl has been located and is safe.
"She had been spotted stuck in a marsh area by a local resident who had received the CodeRed notification and contacted 9-1-1. The child was recovered and returned home safely after being evaluated," authorities said.

A search for a missing 12-year-old girl is ongoing in Washington County Tuesday night.
According to the Washington County Watchdog Facebook page, the girl has been missing since around 3 p.m. Tuesday. She was last seen on foot in the area of 190th Street North and Langly Avenue North in Scandia.
She is described as having dark hair with "olive color skin." The girl is approximately 5-feet-tall with a medium to heavy building. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt, dark pajama pants and Croc sandals. A photo of the girl has not been provided.
A search and rescue team from the Minnesota Air Rescue Team (MART) is assisting in the search via helicopter.
Anyone with information about the child's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
