One person is dead after an overnight crash in St. Paul.

According to St. Paul police, the two-vehicle crash happened around 1:30 a.m. near Concord and Page streets, when a Honda Civic going southeast on Concord struck a Saturn as it pulled out of a driveway near Page Street.

Officers arrived and found a man trapped inside the Saturn. St. Paul Fire Department paramedics freed the man and treated his injuries, but attempts to save him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old driver of the Honda Civic was transported to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Early information has led police to believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash, with Sgt. Mike Ernster reporting that the 19-year-old will be booked into Ramsey County Jail for criminal vehicular operation once he's able to leave the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation and the identity of the victim and the 19-year-old driver have not been released.
