The encounter happened outside a SuperAmerica.

A worrying incident in which three girls were approached by a man who asked them to come over to his truck has police in Burnsville appealing for information.

The City of Burnsville said in a news alert the girls were outside the SuperAmerica on the 1200 block of County Road 42 E just after 1 p.m. on Saturday when an older white man with grey/white hair spoke to them.

He asked them to "go over to the pickup truck" he arrived in because he had something "cool" for them to look at.

The girls rejected his request on multiple occasions and the man – who was wearing dark grey or green shorts and a white shirt – eventually left the parking lot, accompanied by a young white man. That younger man was wearing a grey T-shirt and a Golden Gophers visor. He didn't speak to the girls.

The two left in a pickup truck believed to be a 1997-2003 Ford F150, which was green with an extended cab.

Burnsville PD released some very grainy surveillance pictures of the main suspect (at the top of the page), his younger companion, and the suspect vehicle (below).

Anyone with information should call Burnsville PD on 952-895-4585.
