Alert in Long Lake as stranger approaches woman, tries to grope her

The incident happened late Wednesday evening.

Police in Wayzata have issued an alert to homeowners to be on the lookout for a man who attempted to grope a woman on Wednesday.

The victim had just returned to her home on Apple Glen Road, in Long Lake, and had pulled her car in the garage when she was approached by the stranger.

He asked her for directions and as they were talking, he moved in closer to her, before reaching out and trying to grab the bottom of the woman's dress.

When she began to scream, he ran from the area.
