Police are investigating another attempted abduction near the University of Minnesota.

The incident happened just after 8 p.m. on Sunday near 725 8th Ave. SE.

A man, described as 5'7" tall, around 40 years old, bald and wearing a black shirt, tried to grab the victim from behind.

The incident is being investigated by Minneapolis PD, with those in the area urged to use caution.

It comes just two weeks after a similar attempt at 6th St SE and 10th Ave SE, when a man with gray facial hair tried to push a victim in the back seat of a car.

Police are investigating not only whether the two cases are linked, but whether they're also linked to a series of sexual assaults near the campus dating back to 2018.
