Eden Prairie Police Department is looking for a vehicle that was stolen with a dog inside from a gas station Monday night.
The 2002 Toyota Camry, which was left running with the keys in the ignition, was stolen around 7 p.m. from a Holiday gas station located at 8051 Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie. The car owner's dog, a Weimaraner named Bevis, was inside the vehicle when it was stolen.
The car is identified as a tan Toyota Camry with Minnesota license plates 593-UND.
The dog answers to Bevis and was wearing a blue and red bandana.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or dog is asked to call 911.
This continues a trend of dogs being taken while inside stolen vehicles in the Twin Cities.
A Labradoodle was taken along with an SUV that was left running outside a Walgreens in Woodbury, with the dog later found tied to a vehicle in St. Paul.
In Bloomington, a dog owner got their pet back after it was stolen with a vehicle while left idling outside a hotel.
And a therapy dog was inside a car that was stolen outside the Poke House & Tea Bar in St. Paul, though the dog has since been reunited with its owner.
