Another Friday night shooting in St. Paul leaves five people injured
Mere hours after a man was shot to death in the Dayton's Bluff area of St. Paul, another shooting about a mile away left five people wounded on Friday night.
This one took place at about 10:30 p.m. on Desoto St. in the city's Payne-Phalen neighborhood.
According to a Facebook page that monitors St. Paul police scanner traffic, initial reports said there were two suspects involved, though no arrests have been made yet.
One woman and three men with gunshot wounds were taken to Regions Hospital, where one of the men is now in critical condition, KSTP reports.
The station says a fifth person transported himself to the hospital and is in stable condition.
This was the second shooting to occur in St. Paul on Friday. The first, which happened around 8 p.m. on the 1000 block of Suburban Ave., resulted in the city's 12th homicide of the year.
The man killed in that incident has not been identified, and no arrests have been made yet.
According to FOX 9, police do not believe the two shootings are related.
