A 17-year-old Kimball girl who went missing on Sunday has been found safe.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday afternoon she was found safe at a home in Sherburne County.

The agency thanked everyone who provided tips, which led officials to finding her.

The sheriff's office had asked for the public's help finding her, saying she disappeared after telling her parents she was going for a walk but never came home. Officials were worried because she's prescribed medicine that she hasn't been taking since she went missing.

No other details about the girl's disappearance have been released.

See below for the story from earlier Wednesday.

A teenager disappeared after telling her parents she was going for a walk, with police looking for the public's help to find her.

Stearns County Sheriff's Office says she left her home north of Kimball, Minnesota, at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, but never returned.

She was last seen about a half hour after leaving, walking on Powder Ridge Road near Highway 15, appearing to be on her way back home.

The sheriff's office told GoMN while they are not aware of any specific danger she might be in, the teenager is on prescribed medication that she has not been able to take since going missing.

She is described as white, 5-foot-3, and weighing around 130 pounds, with hazel eyes. She has brown hair with distinctive pink highlights.

She was last seen wearing a royal blue "Kimball Cubs" zip-up hoodie, a black T-shirt, black leggings and black flip-flops.

Her mother posted pictures of her on Facebook Tuesday, saying: "Having to send multiple pictures of your child to agencies that are helping to locate your missing child is NO feeling any parent should have to feel, I'm only so strong!!!"

"I'm writing this post through a river of tears," she added. "I'm begging anyone who knows anything to please do the right thing and call your local sheriff's office!!!! Come home sweetheart!!!"

A post by Missing Children Minnesota said she could be in the St. Cloud, Annandale, Monticello or Clearwater areas.

"Sienna, your little brother is so sad that you are not home," the post says. "He misses you and wants you to know that he wants you to come home. Your whole family does. Please, if you can, come home."

Anyone with information should call the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 320-251-4240 or 911.
