Supreme Court OK's subsidies in Affordable Care Act

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday in support of the tax credits offered through federally run health care exchanges as part of the Affordable Care Act. A lawsuit had argued the subsidies should only be available in states with their own independently run exchanges because of four words written into the law. It's the second time the law has survived a challenge that went to the Supreme Court.

Mother, infant son rescued 5 days after plane crash in jungle

An 18-year-old Colombian mother and her infant son survived a plane crash over remote jungle and managed to survive for five days. Maria Nelly Murillo and her son, Yudier Moreno, were rescued Wednesday. "Un milagro," many people are calling it; a miracle.

Investigators: Whole Foods overcharged, exaggerated weight of contents

An multiyear investigation into eight New York Whole Foods locations found the natural grocery chain overcharged customers multiple times. How? By exaggerating the weight of prepackaged items, overcharging at scanning stations, and incorrectly adding tax to items. Whole Foods said it "disagrees" with the allegations.

Games with Confederate flag pulled from Apple's App Store

Apple has reportedly pulled games using images of the Confederate flag from its App Store, seemingly regardless of context. Games such as Ultimate General: Gettysburg – a strategic historical representation of the conflict – are now absent from the store. Apple is the latest company to stop selling the flag or representations of it joining Wal-Mart, Amazon and others.
