Mysterious shootings continue along Arizona highways

A string of seemingly random shootings on Highway 10 in the Phoenix area continued with at least one more incident on Thursday, authorities have confirmed. The latest attack involved the discovery of a bullet hole in a big rig. The shootings, which began last month, now number 11. No one has been seriously hurt.

Humanity's family tree gets extra branch with new discovery

Scientists in South Africa have announced the discovery of Homo naledi, evidently a small being that had several features quite similar to our own, is being hailed as a "new species of human." The find started two years ago when an amateur cave explorer and a geologist discovered bone fragments in "limestone tunnels."
