Gunman kills at least 10 at Oregon community college

Authorities in Roseburg, Oregon, say a gunman opened fire in a classroom at Umpqua Community College, killing at least 10 people and wounding as many as 20 people. The suspect was subsequently killed in a shootout with police. The investigation continues.

Afghanistan retakes Taliban-held town

The Taliban flag no longer flies over the city of Kunduz, which Afghan government forces have retaken from insurgents who seized it just days ago. The military defeat had cast doubt upon the country's ability to defeat the Taliban following the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO troops. The Taliban has denied losing the city.

Hillary Clinton expected to appear on 'Saturday Night Live'

Reports say Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will make a guest spot on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in what is described as an unconfirmed "top-secret appearance." A self-deprecating skit will allow the former secretary of state to "show her funny, personable side."
