Arrests made in connection to Salvation Army Red Kettle theft in Blaine

The duo stole a red kettle from Cub Foods in Blaine.

Blaine police have arrested two men in connection to Salvation Army Red Kettle thefts that took place last week. 

The department says the suspects were identified after more than 1.3 million people viewed the initial Facebook post about the theft, resulting in hundreds of tips from the public.  

The thieves used bolt cutters to remove the red kettle from its stand and steal the cash-filled container from the Cub Foods near Northtown Mall.

Once charges are officially filed by the Anoka County Attorney's Office, the suspects will be identified and more details about the case will be revealed.
