A number of planned raids were carried out in southeast Minnesota by the Bureau of Alcohol, tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) on Thursday morning.

Details are limited, but ATF media specialist Ashlee Sherrill sent the following to Bring Me The News in an email.

"ATF, along with a number of local partners, were conducting a planned operation in SE MN this morning. Unfortunately since this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide details."

Sherrill noted that more information will be provided in a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the very near future.

One of the raids was carried about at Zumbro Falls Golf Course, according to the Rochester Post Bulletin.

Agencies assisting in the raids were the Wabasha, Washington, Olmsted, Winona and Steele county sheriff's offices, in addition to the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team and the Wabasha and Winona police departments.
