Attempted child abduction reported in Duluth neighborhood

A child in Duluth reported being the subject of an attempted abduction by a masked man on Tuesday.

The incident happened in the city's Lester Park neighborhood, with the child targeted around 4 p.m. on the 5200 block of East Avondale Street.

The man asked the boy to get into his vehicle, with the boy refusing.

Police are investigating, and want to hear from anyone who has information about the incident.

"If you see anything suspicious in your neighborhood, please take note of certain details like make, model, and color of a vehicle and any unique features such as bumper stickers," Duluth PD said.

"Reports on suspicious people should include a description of clothing, unique features of the person like tattoos or birth marks, height, weight, and hair color."

Anyone with information should call 911.
