Authorities ID bodies pulled from Medicine Lake, Mississippi River

Authorities have released the identities of two men found dead in Twin Cities waters over the past few days.

Recovery teams pulled a body from Medicine Lake in Plymouth on Saturday morning.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Curtis Hickle, who lived at the Medicine Lake Boulevard Mission Lodge.

He was found 100 feet from the shoreline near 2840 Medicine Lake Blvd. His cause of death has not yet been determined.

The discovery came just over 12 hours after another body was found in water, this one at the Mississippi River in Inver Grove Heights.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the body is that of Der Yang, a 29-year-old who lived on Montana Avenue East in St. Paul.

He was found near 3985 102nd St. E. Police don't believe his death to be suspicious.
