Authorities ID man found dead in Bde Maka Ska channel in November

The 39-year-old's cause of death was freshwater drowning.

Authorities have identified the man who was found dead in the channel between Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles in November.

Muhammed Dibba, 39, of Minneapolis, was pronounced dead after being pulled from the water on the morning of Nov. 26.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that Dibba's death was the result of freshwater drowning.

However, it adds that his manner of death is yet to be determined, and that the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol is investigating how he came to die.
