Hermantown police have announced a search for an 80-year-old man missing in northeastern Minnesota.

The man, identified by police as Greg, lives in the senior living facility Golden Oaks of Hermantown, near Duluth.

Staff there called police around 2 a.m. Monday to report he had not been at the facility since around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Greg is hard of hearing, and may not have his glasses with him. He lives independently and often takes walks, including in the woods.

He was last seen wearing a blue and black checkered flannel shirt, with blue jeans and brown boots. He is bald with some shaved gray hair on the sides of his head, and is around 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.

Hermantown police have coordinated with several other partnering agencies in the search. Authorities ask people to call 911 if they see Greg or have further information on where he is.
