Authorities warn of 'serious crash' on I-35 near North Branch
Authorities say a "serious crash" on I-35 north of the Twin Cities is causing delays Friday afternoon.
The northbound side of the highway is down to one lane as of about 1:20 p.m., following what MnDOT describes as a "serious crash" at Exit 147 for MN 95 at North Branch.
The Chisago County Sheriff's Office said to expect "significant delays" for the time being. MnDOT is estimating at least two hours.
Authorities have not said anything about the circumstances surrounding the wreck, including how many vehicles were involved or the extent of any injuries.
Roadways across America are expected to be especially busy as people and families travel for Labor Day Weekend.
