Baby sloth makes debut at Minn. Zoo
A new face is slowly emerging along the Tropics Trail at the Minnesota Zoo.
WCCO says a baby two-toed sloth born in early February is making its public debut Thursday. This is only the second sloth infant born at the Minnesota Zoo and is a significant achievement for the sloth breeding program.
The zoo says the infant may not always be visible as it gets used to its new home.
Sloths typically live in tropical forests of Central and South America and spend their lives hanging upside down in treetops.
