Bachmann and Obama exchange barbs over "Obamacare"

It's not the first time that President Barack Obama and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann have sparred over the Affordable Care Act, but the two have gone back and forth on the issue once again.

Bachmann has been one of the most outspoken critics of the health care law in the House.

As the Senate prepared for a vote, according to the Star Tribune on Friday Bachmann spoke for an hour on the House floor to outline several GOP objections to the health care law. In closing Bachmann pointed to the release of personal information of around 1,600 insurance agents through an email sent from an employee at MNsure.

Opponents of the health law say the incident shows the danger of allowing the government to have the personal data on millions of Americans who are shopping for health insurance.

According to the article Bachmann said, "We have never before seen in the history of the United States a conflagration and a centralizing of all of this personal data in one hub, and how can we, the American people, have any level of assurance this data will be secure?"

Obama also got into the verbal sparring with Bachmann though. He poked fun at the Minnesota congresswoman during a speech in Maryland on Thursday.

Another Star Tribune report the president cited the Bachmann speech from six months ago when she claimed the health care law was killing women, children and senior citizens. According to the report, Obama teased Bachmann by saying the country still has women, children and senior citizens.
