Best Buy files complaints against Wal-Mart
Best Buy Co. has complained to the attorney general in Florida, Illinois, Michigan and New Jersey accusing Wal-Mart Inc. of misleading consumers with price comparison ads during the holiday shopping season, Bloomberg News reports. A spokeswoman for the Minnesota-based electronics giant told the publication that Best Buy lost “tens of thousands of dollars” because of the ads.
The Wal-Mart advertisements claimed to have lower prices on specific items than retail rivals, including Best Buy.
Toys R Us also filed complaints against Wal-Mart.
