Bicyclist critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in St. Paul

A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle in St. Paul Monday night. 

According to St. Paul police, a woman riding her bike was struck at the intersection of North Griggs Street and Concordia Avenue 

A female bicyclist was struck by a moving vehicle Monday night in St. Paul.According to St. Paul Sgt. Mike Ernster, the woman was struck at the intersection of North Griggs Street and Concordia Avenue, near the University of Concordia-St. Paul and just south of Interstate 94. 

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. 

The driver of the vehicle that hit her was cooperating with police.

Data released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety shows that 13 pedestrians have been killed by vehicles so far in 2018, which is down from 16 at this time last year. 

Two of the 13 pedestrians killed were riding bicycles, the DPS notes.

A pedestrian was sent to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a school bus in St. Paul. The man in his 50s or 60s was struck while the bus was taking a left-hand turn from Western Ave. onto Aurora Ave. He was transported to Regions Hospital and is expected to survive.
