A bicyclist was killed Friday while traveling on Hwy. 36 in Oakdale.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a GMC Yukon was headed east in the right lane of Hwy. 36 when the bicyclist crossed southbound in front of the Yukon and was struck near Hadley Ave.
The crash happened at approximately 3:35 p.m.
The victim has only been identified as a 51-year-old man from White Bear Lake. It's not clear if he died at the scene or was transported to a hospital.
The driver of the 2004 GMC Yukon was a 30-year-old man from Mahtomedi. It's not clear if he suffered any injuries.
More information is expected to be released at some point Saturday.
